Thanks so much for visiting our new site. My name is Jody and I am the co-founder of A Frugal Housewife. With the cost of living continuing to rise, I found myself researching all I could about the many ways to save for my family and our household. Many of the tips and advice I’d found were things that I had already been doing. I decided what better way to help others then to share some easy household tips and savings for your family and your household.

I’ve been married for the past nine years to The Hunter. We don’t have any kids but we always seem to have someone else’s at our house.

I run a Virtual Assistant Business called to Assist you and have been providing administrative support for the past 18 years.

I’m Jenn - better known in the blogosphere as Blessed! A wife, a mother, a hunter, a graphic designer, a bargain hound… Oh, and one of the co-founders of this blog. Here we’re most concerned with the bargain hound aspect of my personality. A trait that has been cultivated and nurtured since my childhood where I was the oldest of 4 children in a home with just one income.  I’ll be sharing my bargain finding secrets and a few quick cleaning and organizing tips I’ve picked up over the years. I’ll also be telling you about my favorite products, easy recipes and who knows what else!

My husband and I have been married since 1999 (oh how the time flies…) and we have a daughter, known as Lil Sugar, who was born in the fall of 2007. She was an unplanned surprise and we are enjoying every minute with her! We also have lots of experience being an Aunt and Uncle.

You don’t just have to be a housewife to be frugal.

My name is Kristine and my area of expertise is saving while single.  If you’re a single man or woman, I’ll give you the tips on everything from meals for one to how you can save money at bulk stores without buying one jar of mayonnaise that will last you three years.  I’ll also tell you how to save money on books, movies, and clothes.   I had my low budget years, so I know how to live well on a very small budget.  Since I’m moving to a new house soon I’ll also be talking about decorating on a budget, and sharing my tips on how to furnish your house without breaking the bank.

While it may sound a little odd to have a single woman writing for a blog called A Frugal Housewife, the fact is that everyone needs to save money, particularly in today’s economy.  Getting the most out of every dollar while living your life to the fullest is just the smart thing to do.  Single or married, housewife or CEO, everyone can use the tips provided here.
